Two prominent TikTokers killed this year; both hailed from KPK

RAWALPINDI (Aug 22, 2026): TikToker Ayesha Gilamana was killed by her father and brother for making TikTok videos. They had initially forbidden her from doing so, and when she did not back down, they committed this tragic act. In this case of so-called honor killing, police arrested five suspects, including the victim’s father and brother.
Speaking at a press conference in Rawalpindi, SSP Operations Tariq Mahboob stated that Shamso Bibi, alias Ayesha Gilamana, was murdered by her own father and brother with the assistance of her paternal cousins.

“The police arrested all five suspects based on evidence and investigation. Following the incident, the Taxila police worked tirelessly to apprehend the suspects, who will be prosecuted with solid evidence to ensure they receive exemplary punishment,” the SSP said.
The SSP Operations stated that the suspects disliked the girl’s presence on social media. They initially tried to reason with her, but ultimately committed this tragic act. The law will now take its course to bring them to justice through the courts.
Police said that multiple special teams worked on this murder case under the directives of CPO Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera. Investigators reviewed over 100 CCTV cameras and utilized all available resources, including human intelligence. As the police expanded the scope of the investigation based on the circumstances, the victim’s father and brother were included in the interrogation, which exposed the entire plot.
The 28-year-old TikToker, who had over 1.3 million followers, was gunned down on the evening of August 14th on GT Road in Taxila. CCTV footage of the incident emerged, showing two individuals on a motorcycle firing at a moving car in which Ayesha was traveling. A bullet struck Ayesha, resulting in her death. Ironically, the initial application for this case was submitted to the police by the victim’s father.
According to the police, TikToker Ayesha had come to Islamabad from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the first attempt on her life was made in Haripur. Police said no evidence of a jirga has been found so far regarding the murder of Ayesha Gilamana.
Ayesha is the second prominent TikToker killed this year; on March 22, 24-year-old TikToker Sana Javed was shot dead in Islamabad. She was also targeted by a family member—her estranged husband.
