MULTAN (Oct 19): A teenage boy was killed after being struck by a vehicle in an incident that has drawn widespread attention in Multan.
The incident unfolded in Block B, Street 10 of the Royal Orchard neighborhood. Two individuals inside a speeding white car reportedly pursued the 15-year-old victim, a young laborer originally from Muzaffargarh, for nearly 350 meters before they crushed him to death.
CCTV footage capturing the pursuit has circulated across social media platforms. The video shows a white vehicle tracking the teenager down the street before the impact. The collision sent the youth flying against a residential iron gate, causing fatal head injuries. He expired on the spot.

Regarding the motive, investigators are looking into allegations that the teenager, who worked as an electrician, was targeted following a dispute over leaving his employment.
Emergency teams from Rescue 1122 and local police arrived shortly after the incident. Following initial legal procedures, the victim’s body was transferred to Nishtar Hospital Multan for a post-mortem examination. YeJahan News Network has learnt that the deceased lived in an orphanage.
Multan Police have arrested the main accused, a contractor identified as Tauqeer Nazeer, alongside several employees of the orphanage. A formal case has been registered against them; however, allegations have emerged that police are trying to save the main accused, Tauqeer.
The contractor was reportedly trying to give the impression that his actions were committed under immense duress. He also accused the boy of stealing items from the site.
The individual remains in custody and is undergoing interrogation as detectives work to uncover the full facts of the case and ensure legal proceedings follow due course.
