KARACHI (Sept 7): The arms forensic report in the Mir Raza murder case has been released, revealing that the 30-bore casing recovered from the crime scene does not match the suspected weapon.
The Forensic Division Sindh issued the report on August 10, 2026; however, police obtained access to the report on Monday, September 7, 2026. According to the forensic findings, the crime scene casing was compared against two test casings fired from pistol number LA-1197.
The weapon belonged to the security guard at Mir Raza’s outlet. Investigators originally suspected that Mir Raza was shot with this specific gun. However, the markings on the crime scene casing and the test casings showed distinct differences.

The forensic analysis confirmed that the firing pin and breach face impressions did not match. Consequently, forensic experts officially declared the crime scene casing a “mismatch” with the pistol’s test casings.
Police said the forensic report is linked to Case No. 795/2026, registered at the Firozabad Police Station. The case includes charges of kidnapping, murder, and destroying evidence under Sections 365, 302, and 201 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
