ISLAMABAD (Aug 24, 2026): A young male lion on Sunday emerged out of the darkness in Saidpur village, attacking and killing a pet dog while forcing residents to stay behind closed doors.
Local residents reported that after sunset, a lion emerged from the dense woods and headed straight for the village. The terrifying scene sent panicked residents rushing home to lock their doors. Once inside the village, the predatory big cat killed a pet dog and was then seen prowling along the outskirts. In response, locals immediately contacted the wildlife department to capture the king of the jungle and return it to its natural habitat.
