ISLAMABAD (Sept 13): Pakistan has strongly condemned the recent Houthi attacks targeting civilian and economic infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, reaffirming its complete solidarity with the Kingdom and its people.
During a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Sujday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that such reckless actions directly threaten regional peace and stability, while carrying severe consequences for the global economy and energy security.
The Prime Minister commended the Crown Prince’s wise leadership during these challenging times and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to supporting diplomatic avenues for de-escalation.

“Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and I will continue our concerted efforts to help defuse tensions and advance long-term peace and stability in the region,” Prime Minister Sharif stated.

The two leaders reviewed ongoing regional developments and diplomatic initiatives aimed at lowering tensions. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman expressed his deep appreciation for Pakistan’s steadfast support of the Kingdom and its active role in promoting regional peace.
Concluding the call, both leaders agreed to remain in close contact and expressed their shared desire to meet in person at an early date.
